Consume me from the Inside Out

A thousand times I've failed Still your mercy remains And should I stumble again Still I'm caught in your grace Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame My heart and my soul, I give You control Consume me from the inside out Lord Let justice and praise, become my embrace To love You from the inside out Your will above all else, my purpose remains The art of losing myself in bringing you praise Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control Consume me from the inside out Lord Let justice and praise become my embrace To love You from the inside out Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise From the inside out, O my soul cries out My Soul cries out to You My Soul cries out to You to You, to You My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control Consume me from the inside out Lord Let justice and praise become my embrace To love You from the inside out Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise From the inside out, O my soul cries out Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise From the inside out, O my soul cries out From the inside out, O my soul cries out From the inside out, O my soul cries out.

So I heard this song when I was in India and it has brought many thoughts to my mind. I want to be consumed with Jesus
from the Inside and Out. Hope this encourages you all. God's love for us will always remain.

Never leave me nor forsake me.

God created each human being with a physical, visible, and audible body to be inhabited by an invisible God, to make Himself visible through what that person does and says and is. Major Ian Thomas....

I am learning a lot about the Holy Spirit and this was in my devotional reading. I was thinking about how everything we do should glorify God. We represent someone so much bigger than us.
I was thinking a few days ago, how often I feel so inadequate and how I am so in need of a Savior. So often I want to do things my way and try and then realize how lost I am without my Lord Jesus Christ.

Life in Colorado!!!

Hello Everyone, I realize that I have not updated my blog for quite a while. SO I am currently living in Colorado and working at a preschool. I love it there. God is opening many doors for me to witness to my co-workers at work and so that has been awesome.

I do still hope to go back to India but decided it was important to stay here for a year and live and work. I am praying about working in an orphanage....

Hello Everyone, I can't believe I have only been here in India for about 3 weeks now. So much has happened in the short time we have been serving here. Sometimes it has been hard but the Lord is always teaching me to fully put all my trust in Him. This is all I can hold onto when everything around me seems so unknown. Each day changes, our responsibilities at Green Valley do for sure.
Currently we are all preparing for an anniversery on March 1st of 25 years of the Bible school being open. It is going to be a huge event, with people from all over the world, former students that are now serving in ministries. A lot of construction work is going on for the property.
Well things are going well, thank you all for your prayers as the Lord is paving a path for more and more children /students to come to know the Lord. It still takes me aback though because people in India are being persecuted for their faith... please be praying that the Lord will get a hold of the hearts of these people and grow a deeper love and passion for them to serve Christ.
Love to you all,
Rachel

I have arrived!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, so sorry this has taken me a lot longer to do. Things here in INdia have been crazy. Our leader Jason Martens was not allowed back into INdia until February, so we had a lot of different things happening. We (interns) are here at Green Valley. It has been interesting to see how the Lord is knitting us all together as we pull together helping each other out.

The Lord is good. Teaching has been good and I am really enjoying getting to know the students. Well I pray this finds you well. THere might be times that I ask my mom to post something from me so don't be surprised. Love you all, Rachel Asha

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would send you all an update on how things are going? Things here have been great. This week we have a speaker from Oregon and then also Satish John is also speaking to us. Sunday night we are all heading to India.
Something you could be praying about though is our leader, Jason Martens is unable to go with us due to some visa problems and so until March he will be in Indonesia awaiting his time to join us. Also two other interns from last year are possibly unable to get back into India, so if you think to pray please we ask for that.
We will fly into Bangalore India and as of right now stay there the whole time. There is a possible opportunity for me to go to Kerala and teach English at a High school and also work in an orphange. But this is all up in the air now.
I am hoping your day is going well. Missing you and thinking of you.

Malaysia

Things here in Malaysia are going very good. It has been very hot here but other than that things are well. The team has been so great getting to know them all. I think it is going to be a great year.

Yesterday I tried for the first time a fried chicken foot. Not sure how to describe other than kind of disgusting. I can't believe people do this for fun.
Since hearing of the earthquake in Hatti it has been very interesting being on this side of the world. It really puts life in perspective here. For our orientation we are reading this book called "Serving with eyes Wide Open and it is talking about how when we do missions we really need to be available to the Lord. Do we have a heart that really wants the people to know of our Savior or are we coming here (missions) on an adventure. Are we willing to go and serve the people who kill. Like Steve Saint... he went to the very tribe that killed his father, Nate Saint. This amazes me of just how selfish I can be, how I let the little things in life get me. But how there are people around this world who are hurting and need to know of the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Arrived safely in Malaysia....

Hello Everyone, just wanted to let you all know that I am in Malaysia now. THe journey here was good but extremely long and exhausting. I am so glad not to be on a plane any more. Although I loved being up in the clouds and pondering all that the Lord made for us.
There are about 9 interns. Some will be staying in India and some will be staying in the Phillipians. I am so anxious to get started but the Lord is good. Well I have some reading to do so I should go, more to come later.
