I have arrived!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, so sorry this has taken me a lot longer to do. Things here in INdia have been crazy. Our leader Jason Martens was not allowed back into INdia until February, so we had a lot of different things happening. We (interns) are here at Green Valley. It has been interesting to see how the Lord is knitting us all together as we pull together helping each other out.

The Lord is good. Teaching has been good and I am really enjoying getting to know the students. Well I pray this finds you well. THere might be times that I ask my mom to post something from me so don't be surprised. Love you all, Rachel Asha

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would send you all an update on how things are going? Things here have been great. This week we have a speaker from Oregon and then also Satish John is also speaking to us. Sunday night we are all heading to India.
Something you could be praying about though is our leader, Jason Martens is unable to go with us due to some visa problems and so until March he will be in Indonesia awaiting his time to join us. Also two other interns from last year are possibly unable to get back into India, so if you think to pray please we ask for that.
We will fly into Bangalore India and as of right now stay there the whole time. There is a possible opportunity for me to go to Kerala and teach English at a High school and also work in an orphange. But this is all up in the air now.
I am hoping your day is going well. Missing you and thinking of you.

Malaysia

Things here in Malaysia are going very good. It has been very hot here but other than that things are well. The team has been so great getting to know them all. I think it is going to be a great year.

Yesterday I tried for the first time a fried chicken foot. Not sure how to describe other than kind of disgusting. I can't believe people do this for fun.
Since hearing of the earthquake in Hatti it has been very interesting being on this side of the world. It really puts life in perspective here. For our orientation we are reading this book called "Serving with eyes Wide Open and it is talking about how when we do missions we really need to be available to the Lord. Do we have a heart that really wants the people to know of our Savior or are we coming here (missions) on an adventure. Are we willing to go and serve the people who kill. Like Steve Saint... he went to the very tribe that killed his father, Nate Saint. This amazes me of just how selfish I can be, how I let the little things in life get me. But how there are people around this world who are hurting and need to know of the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Arrived safely in Malaysia....

Hello Everyone, just wanted to let you all know that I am in Malaysia now. THe journey here was good but extremely long and exhausting. I am so glad not to be on a plane any more. Although I loved being up in the clouds and pondering all that the Lord made for us.
There are about 9 interns. Some will be staying in India and some will be staying in the Phillipians. I am so anxious to get started but the Lord is good. Well I have some reading to do so I should go, more to come later.
